EASTENDERS stars paid tribute to Dame Barbara Windsor on Thursday as she celebrated her 83rd birthday after moving into a care home.
The likes of Lacey Turner, Tamzin Outhwaite and Emma Barton all took to social media to share the love for the legendary actress, who played the role of Peggy Mitchell.
Lacey, who plays the role of Stacey Slater on EastEnders, uploaded a photo of her and Barbara at an event together and captioned it: "Happy birthday to this Wonder Woman hope your day is as beautiful as you ❤️❤️❤️."
Emma, who plays Honey Mitchell, also shared a photo on Instagram of her with Barbara and Billy Mitchell actor, Perry Fenwick.
Emma wrote alongside it: "There is nothing like a Dame…. My #tbt has to be of my favourite Dame… Happy Birthday Bar… 💕."
Meanwhile, Tamzin - who played Mel Owen - tweeted a cute picture of her with Babs and wrote: "Happy birthday to gorgeous Barbara Windsor … and sending so much love to Scott. ❤️."
Barbara's husband, Scott Mitchell, recently confirmed he had made the heartbreaking decision to move his wife of 20 years into a care home as he Dementia worsens.
Just over two weeks ago, Scott took the advice of Barbara’s neurologist and placed her in a full-time, residential care home — an immensely painful decision that’s left him bereft.
Speaking to The Sun, Scott explained: "I feel I’m on an emotional rollercoaster. I walk around, trying to keep busy, then burst in to tears. It feels like a bereavement.
"It’s always been my biggest fear, that one day I would have to take her somewhere and she’d be thinking, 'Why would he do this to me?'
"That fear has become a reality. It’s something I never wanted," he added.

Barbara was first diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in April 2014, but decided not to make the news public.
However, in May 2018 Scott made the decision to speak out about her ongoing illness and he's since run the London Marathon with some of Barbara's EastEnders co-stars to raise money for a dementia charity.
