EastEnders' Stacey Fowler returns with explosive scenes as Lacey Turner makes her much-anticipated comeback.

Her estranged husband Martin (James Bye) recently moved in with Stacey's former best friend Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) and Stacey is not happy about it.

Fans have been wondering if it is Stacey who has been stealing Ruby's identity after a mystery assailant impersonated her and has been stealing money.

And with Stacey's dramatic arrival to Albert Square imminent, we may soon find out.

Stacey Fowler makes a dramatic arrival to stir up trouble in the Square

Ruby is seen on the phone to the bank arguing over some terrifyingly hefty bank transfers that were made in her name.

She continues to keep the fraudulent activity a secret from Martin, but later admits to him that someone has been impersonating her.

A car pulls up and Stacey gets out, and she approaches Ruby to confront her, before meeting with Martin later on.

Martin, is furious at Stacey, but she tells him she will not be sticking around for long.

However, Ruby then asks Stacey to stay so that Martin can see his kids while Stacey is down.

Stacey tells Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) she’s worried her mum Jean will never forgive her for leaving the square.

Stacey's return throws a spanner in the works

Kat reminds her she’s had a tough time beating cancer and losing the man she loved as well as losing her daughter, with Stacey realising just how much she has missed while she was away.

Ruby demands Martin tell her if he still has any romantic feelings towards Stacey, and he reassures her he does not.

Martin then tells Ruby they should go on a night away together as they deserve a break.

Ruby and Martin betrayed Stacey with their relationship

Will Ruby try to force Stacey to leave the Square? Or does she have another plan up her sleeve?

Lacey Turner told DigitalSpy: "I think for Stacey, she just felt angry towards Ruby – that's supposed to be her best friend.

"She's really sad about her and Martin, in her heart of hearts she does still love him and I think it's quite hard her to watch them together.

But in true Stacey style, she will just put on a front and pretend she doesn't care."
