Stacey Slater returns to EastEnders next week after months in prison but has a shock for ex-husband Martin Fowler

After wrongfully serving time in prison for assaulting former friend Ruby Allen, Stacey ( Lacey Turner ) is finally released from prison next week.

Ruby’s husband Martin (James Bye) has been left devastated after Ruby’s schemes saw her sent to prison and he has been caring for his and his ex Stacey’s children alone.

Next week, Jean Slater ( Gillian Wright ) excitedly prepares for her daughter’s return, planning a party and asking the Panesars to fix the boiler in time.

Amidst this, Stacey’s daughter Lily Slater reminds Martin that the children will be returning to live with Stacey and Martin realises he will soon be on his own.

Jean, Kat and co are delighted when Stacey finally returns and Martin decides to be honest with her.

However, he is taken aback when Stacey reveals her own epic bombshell to her former husband.

Later in the week, Stacey combats the resistant Panesars about the boiler issue as they refuse to fix it.

This prompts Stacey and her family to break into the empty Panesars and use the shower.

Later, Stacey and Martin have lunch with the kids but Stacey swiftly leaves after spotting old nemesis Janine Butcher ( Charlie Brooks ).

Meanwhile, the Panesars realise intruders have been in their home and Suki blames the Slaters as Jags’ watch also goes missing.

Kheerat goes on to blame the Slaters and Suki herself storms in during a visit to the Slaters from Stacey’s probation officer.

Suki soon presents the Slaters with an eviction notice, but could Stacey’s freedom also be in danger?

In an added complication, Stacey’s prison friend Eve Unwin ( Heather Peace ) arrives in Walford too next week and pays a visit to the Prince Albert bar.

Chatting away to Shirley Carter ( Linda Henry ), Eve soon begins to flirt with her and then gets caught up in a chaotic situation with Zack and Martin.

At the Vic, Stacey soon comes face to face with Eve and the pair embrace, but Jean is less than impressed with Walford’s new arrival.

Just how much trouble with Eve Unwin be?
