EastEnders fans have suggested that Linda Carter will let Rainie and Stuart Highway adopt her unborn child.
Linda (Kellie Bright) recently found out that she was five months pregnant with Max Branning's child, following their fling at the end of last year.
Understandably, Linda's husband Mick (Danny Dyer) was devastated when she told him about the baby and that he wasn't the father.
During Thursday's episode, Linda broke down as she explained to Mick that she has no choice but to have the baby - but admitted that she can't get through it without him.
Sensing that Linda doesn't actually want to keep the baby when it's born, EastEnders fans predicted that she will legally give the child up.
Taking to Twitter, one person posted: "I’m wondering if Linda has the baby and she doesn’t want the child wonder if rainie and Stuart will adopt the child? #EastEnders."
Another viewer said: "Linda will have the baby, Rainie & Stuart will adopt it. #Eastenders."
A third added: "I reckon Linda will give her child to Stuart and Rainie #eastenders," while a fourth posted: "I wonder if Linda will give Rainie the baby #eastenders."
And a fifth viewer asked: "Linda give that baby to Rainie and Stu? I bloody hope not she can't be that stupid....! #Eastenders."
Luckily, Thursday's episode ended on a positive with Mick and Linda as they sat side-by-side and he told her that he loves her - clearly vowing to stand by her.
Rainie would no doubt jump at the chance to adopt the baby, after being left heartbroken in November 2020 when she thought she had suffered a miscarriage.
However, after being involved in a bike crash, Rainie was rushed to hospital for a scan - which resulted in the doctor telling her the heartbreaking news that there was no baby, and it looked as though there never had been.
