A car smashed into a parked vehicle on a Glasgow street before speeding off from the scene.

Police have launched a probe after the incident that happened on Scaraway Street in Milton at around 9.30pm on Saturday, July 31.

Officers are still searching for the driver responsible.

A silver car can be seen on the road looking badly damaged after the smash.

Police are appealing for information and they're asking anyone who saw anything to get in touch.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers received a report that a car had crashed into a parked car on Scaraway Street, Glasgow, around 9.30pm on Saturday, 31 July.

"The driver made off and enquiries are ongoing to trace them.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference 3955 of 31 July."
