Dozens of art lovers recreate famous paintings for coronavirus isolation challenge

THERE’S definitely an art to keeping yourself occupied during lockdown.

Dozens have recreated famous paintings at home and posted them online.

They include Francis Barraud’s His Master’s Voice with its gramophone replaced by an iPod.

Renoir’s Child with Cat, Portrait of a Halberdier by Pontormo — depicting a hockey stick instead of an axe — and Rene Magritte’s Son of Man also feature.

The challenge was set by LA’s Getty Museum.

In a tweet chiefs hailed “the creative genius of the internet”, adding: “We are loving all your creative re-creations”.
