It comes after the UK Health Security Agency issued a Level 3 fever health warning to warn people with heart, lung and asthma conditions to take precautions.
And with 15 million households preparing for a hose pipe ban, there is a new risk of wildfires occurring in dry crater conditions.
To top it all off, the fire brigade is stretched to the breaking point.
Tony Wardle, Deputy Chief Meteorologist at the Meteorological Office of London, said: On Saturday, the maximum temperature could rise to 35 degrees for him, and even 36 for him.
The heat warps railroad tracks, threatens to destroy buildings, and a surge in sickness could cost the economy millions of dollars.
Authorities are also bracing for an increase in fire and water-related incidents as Britons forgo barbecues and cool off by the water.
The fire brigade union cautioned people, saying National Officer Riccardo La Torre said a "serious shortage" of personnel meant the service "had no firefighters to assist the crew on the scene."
UKHSA's Dr Agostinho Sousa said there was a need to help people struggling to stay hydrated.
