Doctor Hilary Jones has revealed some cures for 'the worst cold ever' as scores of Brits have been struck down in recent weeks.
With restrictions ending in July, large scale festivals allowed to happen without any social distancing, fans back in football stadiums and schools open for a new term, it's inevitable that people pick up coughs and colds as they mix in numbers again.
But, over the past few weeks as festival flu and then freshers flu have reared their heads again, many Brits have been complaining of feeling extremely rough due to a cold like they've never experienced before.

Discussing the current influx of 'bugs' in the UK, Doctor Hilary appeared on Lorraine on Tuesday and told the show's famous host: "There's a lot of it about.
"So people have been socially distancing, wearing masks, taking care not to mix with too many people in mass gatherings so, of course, our immunity has dropped as a result.
"We need to be exposed to antigens all the time in order to thicken up our immune system. So when we're exposed for the first time in ages to a new cold virus we all get colds.
"Currently the respiratory syncytial virus is rampant. This is circulates every winter. It affects infants in terms of the bronchioles in their lungs; middle aged people get common colds and if you're elderly you can get pneumonia with it."
Doctor Hilary told Lorraine: "We can't cure a common cold but there are a lot of things that you can do.
Dr Hilary's top cold remedies
*Quarter of teaspoon of salt into 8 ounces of water and gargle with it.
*Honey - soothing as hot toddy with lemon
Dr Hilary added: "The jury's out on our colds.
"Some experts would argue that whisky would dehydrates you and doesn't mix well with medicines. However, if you're not taking medicines a hot toddy at night, I don't think, can do you any harm."
