If you're a Disney fan then chances are you've heard of their new streaming service. Not only has it already launched in the US, but it promises to include a host of films and TV shows.
Thanks to the entertainment conglomerate's vast ownership of much of the TV and film industry, Disney+ will give users extensive access to Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars content - as well as their own Disney catalogue, according to the Mirror Online.
Disney+ promises to rival existing streaming juggernauts like Netflix and Amazon Prime, but how much is it going to cost and when is it out in the UK?
Well fear not as here is everything you need to know about Disney+.
UK release date
Disney+ is set to launch in the UK on March 24, 2020.
It was originally due to release on March 31 but was brought forward, which is music to our ears. It originally launched in the US on November 12, 2019.
Ireland, France, Spain, Austria, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland will also get the streaming service on March 24.
Disney+ UK price
Now for the important one, the price. Disney+ will cost customers £5.99 for a monthly subscription.
For comparison, Netflix plans also start from £5.99 a month, Amazon Prime costs £7.99 a month and a NOW TV Entertainment Pass for the month will set you back £7.99.
If forking out monthly isn't your cup of tea then you can pay £59.99 for an annual subscription, which works out to be less than £5 a month.
Disney+ Films and TV series
So, what are you going to get for that £5.99 a month? Well, pretty much everything from Disney's magical vault of entertainment goodness.
You can expect to have access to an abundance of content, from Disney films, to Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, and National Geographic titles.
In other words, everything you can possibly imagine.
A number of original series will be arriving on Disney+, some of which have already began in the US.
In addition to those, there are also shows in the pipeline that are scheduled to release throughout the year and into 2021. They include:
There will also be continuations for Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and classic Disney Channel show Lizzie McGuire.
The back catalogue of films available on Disney+ is extensive. From Marvel films, to Star Wars flicks and Disney classics, the streaming service will have a host of movies you can watch. In addition to that line-up, Disney+ will also feature Fox films in the future following their $71 billion acquisition of 21st Century Fox last year.
