Listen up Dirty Dancing fans as, over 30 years since the iconic film's release you might be able to feast your 'hungry eyes' on sequel.

Leading actress Jennifer Grey is set to produce and star in a film which is widely reported to be a follow up to the movie the world fell in love with back in 1987.

Dirty Dancing is the cult 80’s film that tells the story of Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman who falls madly in love with dance instructor Johnny Castle as he enlists her as his dance partner whilst vacationing at a Catskills resort with her family.

Jennifer played Baby and is 60-year-old is now collaborating with film makers Lionsgate on an untitled dance flick set in the 90s. While released in the 80s the action in the first film was actually set in 1963 with Baby having an unforgettable summer at Kellerman's - who can still sing the song line by line?

Dirty Dancing was remade for TV in 2017 but the new version was widely panned by critics who weren't kind on the cast which included Abigail Breslin and Nicole Scherzinger, but not Jennifer, who turned down an offer to star in it.

Fans are very excited by news of a potential sequel, with one tweeting: "WHAT?! Dirty Dancing might be getting a sequel and Jennifer Grey will be returning as Baby! SHUT UP WHAT?! NOBODY PUTS BABY IN A CORNER!! " and another reacted: "Wait, Is A Dirty Dancing Sequel Happening?
