Police say they are 'growing increasingly concerned' for a man who was last seen in Burnley two months ago.

Stuart Metcalfe, 47, has been missing since the end of August.

Officers said he may have links to Cumbria and West Yorkshire.

He is described as a white male, 5ft 11ins tall, of medium build and with brown hair and brown eyes.

In an appeal issued this evening, a Lancashire Constabulary spokesperson said: "We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a missing man Stuart Metcalfe.

"We urge anybody who sees him or knows where Stuart may be to get in touch quoting log number 1542, 14th October.

"We also urge Mr Metcalfe to get in touch himself if he sees this appeal."
