Derby County boss Phillip Cocu said he is not surprised to hear of transfer talk surrounding right back Jayden Bogle, amid interest from Burnley.
The Clarets are long term admirers of the teenager who broke through at the Rams under Frank Lampard last season.
He has established himself as the club's first choice on the right of defence with a number of Premier League clubs, including Burnley, linked with a move for the 19-year-old.
Derby are struggling in the Championship this term and travel to Reading this weekend.
And ahead of the game Cocu has had his say on Bogle and the Rams transfer policy in general.
Asked about the attention Bogle is attracting, Cocu said: "I am not surprised.
"I think after his six or seven-week lay-off with his ankle injury, he needed some time to get back his form.
"He is a 19-year-old modern offensive full back who gives something extra to your team.
"At this age, and the amount of games he has played, I am not surprised that there are some clubs interested in Jayden."
On whether the Rams will part with players in January, Cocu, speaking to the Derby Telegraph, added: "It is always possible. Sometimes you don't want players to go, but an opportunity pops up for a player you cannot say no to, that is possible in football.
"But we try to stick with our plan that we have in mind as much as possible, but sometimes you have to be flexible and ready to anticipate on the unexpected."
