It was the first time Angela had seen her daughter Sarah and her husband John since the lockdown began.

The family were able to meet after the rules were eased in Wales earlier this week.

The touching moment in Pengam, near Caerphilly , South Wales, was caught on camera as a smiling first-time gran gazed into the eyes of the newborn baby boy.

Angela said: "It was wonderful to meet Mike for the first time.

"I had been looking forward to having grandchildren but under the circumstances of coronavirus it's a little different.

"I cannot wait for this to all be over so I can hold him."
