NASA has treated us to a look at some of the stunning new pictures set to be in its "Image of the Day" gallery for 2020 and they're all out of this world.
From astronaut selfies to rockets and galaxies, below is a a roundup of the most majestic space photos.
A lot of the images were taken aboard the International Space Station (ISS) – a lab that has orbited Earth since the year 2000.
Many astronauts bring cameras on their months-long stints on the station, snapping pictures from 250 miles above our planet.
As well as bedrooms, space labs, a gym and a kitchen, the ISS has an observation deck that provides spectacular views.
The astronauts can't take all the credit though as some of the following snaps were taken by Earth-based humans and telescopes looking far beyond our galaxy.
What is the ISS?
