Daytime TV hosts look VERY different in these throwback pics – can you pick out stars like Holly Willoughby & Lorraine?

THEY'RE some of the most recognisable faces on our television screens each morning - yet these famous daytime hosts look very different in their younger years.

Last week, This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes left fans stunned after sharing a throwback snap of his family from 1978 on Instagram.

The 61-year-old - who recently quit This Morning after 15 years - looked very dapper as he posed in a suit outside a church in Belfast with his two brothers Leonard and Brian, when he was aged just 18.

He captioned the picture: “See previous post...Same 3 brothers 1978 L-R Eamonn 18 , Leonard 22 , Brian 17.”

But Eamonn's not the only star to have drastically changed his look over the decades.

Here we share some of the most incredible throwback snaps of our top breakfast TV stars.

Richard Madeley

Richard Madeley may now be safely back at home, having been forced to leave the I’m A Celebrity castle after a hospital dash.

But, while he was on the show, his family shared a great throwback of him strutting his stuff in the 70s.

The newly-appointed Good Morning Britain host, 65, looked cooler than ever in long, flared jeans and a pair of heeled boots.

Richard Arnold

Someone who hasn’t changed in the slightest is GMB’s showbiz reporter Richard Arnold.

In 2017, to mark his 20-year anniversary on TV, Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard presented him with a montage of the best moments from his career.

Even 52-year-old Richard’s GMB co-host Kate noticed: "You haven't really changed, Richard."

Susanna Reid

Susanna Reid looks so different in her 90s throwback that Kate Garraway confused her for their GMB colleague Ben Shephard!

The picture, from her ITV Meridian days, aired on GMB, showing the now 50-year-old makeup-free and sporting frizzy hair while sipping a cup of tea.

And realising the snap was of Susanna, Kate said to Ben: “I thought that was you with the floppy hair. I thought that was you!

"I genuinely thought that was you."

She continued to protest her surprise and added: "I thought that was Ben going through a Smiths phase. Wow."

Susanna was left in hysterics at the mishap, and joked: "That's how I look in the morning."

Kate Garraway

Kate Garraway also looked unrecognisable in a throwback montage of her career highlights shown on GMB after her Tric Awards 2021 win.

The presenter, 54, looked very young as she anchored Central News South where she worked in 1996 aged 29.

She was sporting a classic 90s-style look, with a pastel suit, chunky gold earrings and big, blow-dried brunette hair.

As well as her hair colour, her voice seemed to have also changed, as she sounded much deeper and posher than usual, announcing: “Good afternoon the lunchtime news for Central.”

Charlotte Hawkins

GMB presenter Charlotte Hawkins, 46, was absolutely mortified when Richard Madeley and her co-stars shared a throwback video of her modelling on TV while at university.

The embarrassed host cringed as she revealed the clip was going to be of her first time on TV, and she was desperate for it not to be shown.

She explained: "While I was at university I had to model raincoats on This Morning."

Richard told her: "I must say I've seen the picture, you look totally different. You don't look like you at all."

After the clip was played, Charlotte turned to her co-hosts and said: "I can't believe you've just done that."

In true Richard fashion, he joked: "You look as if you've been out all night. You look hungover, pale, drunk."

Charlotte laughed: "I was trying to do the mean and moody as you walk down the catwalk look."

Lorraine Kelly

These days, Lorraine Kelly is known for being quite glamorous, wearing floaty, midi-dresses as she presents her own ITV show.

But, back in 1984, before she’d even become a presenter on GMTV, she looked if anything older than she does now at the age of 62.

In an image unearthed from the ITV archive, Lorraine is unrecognisable in thick-rimmed glasses and a short haircut.

Holly Willoughby

To mark her 40th birthday earlier this year, Holly Willoughby was reunited with her school friends on This Morning, and they aired clips of her as a youngster too.

Her pals shared a gorgeous clip of a teenage Holly belting out a song in a choir clip.

Gone was her trademark blonde hair, and in its place a brunette barnet - although, other than that, she hasn’t aged!

Phillip Schofield

Holly’s This Morning co-host Phillip Schofield, 59, also had a completely different hair colour back in the day.

He’s been famously sporting his silver fox locks for years now, but when he first got into presenting in his 20s, Phil, was a brunette.

It seems, like Holly, he must have a Dorian Gray-style portrait hidden in his house somewhere!

Ruth Langsford

Ruth Langsford, 61, was left red-faced when a clip of her days as a continuity announcer in the 1980s was unearthed on Loose Women.

Known for her blonde, short hairstyle, the host looked very different, sporting a brunette bob with a fringe.

It’s clear that Ruth has always known how to rock the latest fashion trends, as she wore a bright, orange, 80s-style blazer and gold statement earrings.

Picking up on her well-spoken voice, she shared the clip to social media and wrote: "This is my posh twin back in her Continuity Presenter days at Television South West....just one of the clips that the team @loosewomen have unearthed for my Life Before Loose show today....dread to think what else they've found!”

Dermot O’Leary

This Morning host Dermot O’Leary, 48, delighted his fans when he shared an incredible throwback to his late teenage years last year.

In the 80s snap, the former X Factor host was seen sitting at a bar on holiday, smouldering at the camera, dressed in a white vest and matching shorts.

He’s had a shorter, shaved haircut for years, but looked like he belonged in a boyband in the picture, showing off his spikey hair.

Wow, this lot have changed!
