A young woman took to Twitter earlier this week and claimed that Love Island star Chloe Burrows had an 'affair' with her dad.
ITV revealed the line-up for this year's series of the popular dating show, and 25-year-old Chloe is one of 11 singletons heading to Spain.
During her VT, Chloe said: "You would really think there were fit men in the City but there really aren’t. Most of them are married or have girlfriends so they are ‘off limits'."
She continued: "They’re not really off limits. I mean I’m partial to a married man. I did meet someone at work. I thought it was love at first sight - until my manager reminded me of his wife and kids. Doesn’t mean I don’t drunk call him most weekends."
Hours later a tweet posted on Twitter read: "Dad’s PA has gone on Love Island and admitted an affair. How’s your day?" alongside the video clip of Chloe.
However, the young woman has since made her Twitter account private and didn't respond to a request for comment from The Mirror.
But a man claiming to be her father has spoken out and strenuously denied having had any "affair".
According to The Sun, the unnamed man said: "I had a professional relationship with Chloe.
"I’ve been single for six years, so the word ‘affair’ is just irrelevant. Chloe has actually been very professional in her marketing executive job and she has done a terrific job for us as a team of people."
During a chat with press including The Mirror on Wednesday 24 June, Chloe appeared stunned when she was told about the tweet.
"I’ve never been a PA," she replied, before backtracking and adding: "I was a PA to someone years ago but he didn’t have a daughter.
"I’ve actually never been a personal assistant. But that married man thing has been massively taken out of context," she added.
Ahead of Love Island kicking off, Chloe said she is looking for "a really nice boyfriend".
Asked where she sees herself in five years, the blonde replied: "I’d like to say, I’ll have a really nice boyfriend. Maybe bought a house, that would be quite cool, wouldn’t it? A property and with a dog. I really want a dog of my own."
She continued: "It would be so nice to meet someone. All my friends are buying houses and having babies. I’m literally going from friendship group to friendship group every weekend with different plans because they are like, ‘Okay well I’ve got to see my boyfriend’.
"We have been locked down for a year as well, just to play in a villa with people my age for however long will just be fun!"
Love Island starts at 9pm Monday 28th June on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
