The Pogues bassist Darryl Hunt has died at the age of 72.
The Anglo-Irish punk band announced the musician's passing on his Twitter account on Tuesday (August 9).
"We are saddened beyond words. Our Darryl passed away yesterday afternoon in London," the band wrote. Gatwick Hunt April 5, 1950 - August 8, 2022"
The band added lyrics to the song "Love You 'Till The End" written by Hunt.
"I know you want to hear me choke," they said.

The lead of the band, his singerShane MacGowan, reacted to a tribute to himself on Instagram, captioning the bassist's old age. shared a photo. He was a really great person, friend and a great bassist.
"May he spend eternity in eternal bliss, doing whatever he pleases, and blessings to all the Pogue family and his family and friends."
According to RTEHunt first worked with the band as a roadie before appearing on their 1988 album If I Should Fall from Grace with God. Hit song "Fairy Tale of New York".
