THERE’S a bit of a problem for Dancing On Ice’s same-sex couple – their todgers get in the way.
Pro skater Matt Evers, partnered by former Steps singer Ian "H" Watkins, says of their training ahead of the new series’ launch next month: “We’re in full-on practice mode. There’s a practical difference, though."
"Parts of his anatomy get in the way in certain moves, on some of the lifts.”
He added: “We’re having to alter the lifts because it’s never been done before.”
Matt will also gauge audience reaction before choreographing too much intimacy. He said: “I feel extra pressure, I want to do it justice. We’re trying to make it normal. If the audience and fans embrace it, we’re going to push it a bit more. If they don’t, we’ll strip it back and it’ll be more of a friendship.”
I give it a year before Strictly take the plunge too.
Meanwhile, comic MICHAEL BARRYMORE, who quit the ITV show after breaking his wrist filming next Sunday’s Christmas special, says he decided to take part because other projects seemed riskier.
He explained: “One offer was to walk from Istanbul to Venice, about 2,000 miles, with a pack on. Another was to be dropped on an island for a month and have to survive off the land. I thought, ‘I’ll take Dancing on Ice because I won’t get killed’.”

Robbie Williams, the singer who came to tea
ROBBIE WILLIAMS credits his three young kids by US actress wife AYDA FIELD with changing his life.
The singer, who has recorded the theme tune for Channel 4’s Christmas animation The Tiger Who Came To Tea, said: “They’ve made everything make sense."
“When I was sat down doing photographs with the book, I had a flashback to when I was 20 and the person behind that book is very, very different from who I used to be. My life is much better.”
The former TAKE THAT member said of the 1968 book: “It’s the magic of JUDITH KERR’s writing."
“If I equate it to my career, it’s her Angels."
“She’ll be remembered for this.”
JOHN SIMM will star as Det Supt Roy Grace in an ITV adaptation of PETER JAMES’ crime novels, scripted by Endeavour’s creator RUSSELL LEWIS.
The drama, called Grace, starts filming next year.
Dawn in Ex last laugh
DAWN FRENCH doesn’t mince her words.
The comic branded her ex KEITH ALLEN a “c**t” and a “w****r” after he told her when they dated in the Eighties she was “an idiot” for pursuing a comedy career.
Luckily, Dawn didn’t take his advice. She went on to have huge fame starring in French And Saunders and The Vicar Of Dibley.
Dawn said: “In a little frisson with Keith, he once told me I was an idiot for trying to follow this career that would never go anywhere. He was a little bit of a c**t."
“I had a little ding-dong with him once and he said, ‘Just being honest with you, I’m not sure you’ve got the chops for it and it’s not much of a career anyway’.
“I hadn’t asked him. You don’t have to ask Keith. He will bestow upon you his opinion. And he was wrong.”

Strictly no Ruth
RUTH LANGSFORD turned down taking part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.
Bosses approached the This Morning presenter and Loose Women favourite – who came ninth with Anton du Beke in the 2017 series – to appear on the Christmas Day extravaganza but were told she was too busy.
Ruth’s husband and This Morning co-presenter EAMONN HOLMES revealed on his talkRADIO show: “They asked Ruth to take part but she didn’t have the time.”
