Dancing On Ice viewers were stunned by a shock skate-off on Sunday night's show.
Fans of the ITV celeb skating contest couldn't believe that Love Island's Maura Higgins ended up in the bottom two after impressing them with her skating skills.
Maura, who was paired with pro-skater Alexander Demetriou, ended up in a skate-off with Paralympian sprinter Libby Clegg and her partner Mark Hanretty and were voted home by the judging panel.
"Maura’s skate was clearly better," commented one fan.
"Omg Maura was far better ..." said another viewer.
"Awww I’m gutted for Maura bless her! She didn’t deserve to go," said a third.
Another wrote: "I’m so gutted for @MauraHiggins she has been amazing on this show and she didn’t deserve to go tonight!
"She brings the fun, the banter and the professionalisms. She made no mistakes in her routine @dancingonice
and she shouldn't have been in the bottom two."
And another fan commented: "Awww so sad to see Maura go. I love her honesty. She wanted to stay and she's gutted. I'm gutted too."
But another fan reasoned: "This is my view - throughout the competition, Libby has been the most consistent. "Her props routine was better than Maura’s. Tonight’s skate off was a difficult decision for the judges as both were good."
A tearful Maura told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that she didn't feel ready to leave the contest.
After the contest launched last month the outspoken star had launched a jokey rivalry with her fellow contestant Joe Swash.
The reality TV personality shot to fame on last year's summer series of Love Island, where she eventually found romance with her boyfriend, Nantwich dancer Curtis Pritchard.
Diversity dancer Perri Kiely is the favourite to be crowned Dancing On Ice champion 2020. The street dancer is paired with professional skater Vanessa Bauer.
