Dalian Atkinson’s heartbroken sister slams his cop killer for ‘abusing’ his uniform

'STOLEN FROM US'

THE devastated sister of footballer Dalian Atkinson has slammed his cop killer for “abusing” his uniform and power.

Elaine Atkinson, 59, sobbed as she paid tribute to her “baby brother”.

The mum of two from Telford, Shrops, added: “He meant everything to me.

"He was stolen from us.

"It’s so shocking.

"I miss Dalian every day.”

PC Ben Monk, 42, was on Wednesday convicted of manslaughter after tasering ex-Aston Villa star Dalian, 48, six times longer than usual and kicking him in the head.

The Birmingham crown court jury was yesterday discharged after failing to reach a verdict on PC Mary Bettley-Smith, 31, who denied assault.

Prosecutors have a week to apply for a retrial.
