Markets are the ideal place to find a gift or fresh, locally-sourced produce and Cumbria has some brilliant ones to choose from.
From Artisan markets selling handcrafted trinkets to farmers' markets selling meats, cheeses and vegetables, the choice is wide-ranging in the Lake District and beyond.
And autumn is an extra special time to browse markets, as you'll find comfort food, festive gifts and decorations on offer, with the added bonus of their picturesque surroundings glowing with the season's oranges, reds and yellows.

So, wrap up warm, dig out your tote bags, put on some comfortable shoes and head on down to one of these markets.
We've also included dates and times to pop into your diaries to make sure you don't miss them.
Brampton & Carlisle Farmers' Markets
This pair of popular markets are run by Sustainable Brampton.
Over at market town Brampton, you'll find produce from farms including Askerton Castle Estate, handmade soaps from Heather's Hands, pastries from Zen Bakery and Helen's Herbs.
At the Carlisle location, Creative Seafood will be on hand to provide fresh fish, while Fairy Sawdust has an unusual products on offer, with fairy wooden doors and garden signs.
Both markets also have stalls from Brampton Wood Fuels, Cumbria Wildlife Trust and Hallsford Farm produce.
When: Brampton, last Saturday of the month, 9am - 1.30pm (final market of the year on December 18) and Carlisle, first Sunday of the month, 9am - 2pm ((final market of the year on December 7)

This award-winning market runs twice-weekly and is based in historic Keswick in the heart of the Lake District.
It has been running since 1974 and currently has around 70 stalls selling crafts, seasonal foods and traditional goods.
Managed by Allerdale Borough Council, this is a vibrant and bustling market that's popular with visitors and locals alike.
When: Every Thursday and Saturday, 8am - 4.30pm
Where: Market Square, Keswick
Kendal Farmers' Market
You can divulge in fresh fruit and vegetables, seafood, a hog roast, cooking demonstrations and cheese experts in Kendal.
There's also plants, flowers, hand- crafted, naturally made soaps, shampoo bars and balms while you can also treat yourself to locally-made chocolates and sweets.
You may also find a favourite new tipple at Pennington's Spirits and Liquors or try a pie from The Little Bakery stall.
And serving up something a little different, stallholder Obed could be on hand with haggis samosas to the Portuguese tarts.
