The US has now administered 408,797,942 doses of Covid-19 jabs in the country as of Monday, and distributed 494,655,075 doses, according to the Centres of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
The figures on the amount administered are more than 500,000 more than the previous day. The agency said 218,973,123 had received at least one dose, whereas 189,292,559 people are fully vaccinated.
The tally includes two-dose vaccines from Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech according to Reuters, as well as the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
About 10.7 million people in the country have received booster jabs.
