The Liverpool City Region has had a fall in positive Covid infections.

According to the latest data from Public Health England, the Liverpool City Region had 5,753 positive Covid infections in the seven days ending November 27 - that's 169 fewer positive tests than the previous seven days.

This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 3% in the LCR.

Four areas of the city region had drops in cases. The week-on-week percentage change figure falls were: by 14% in Halton; by 12% in St Helens; by 6% in Sefton; and by 4% in Wirral.

Two areas of the city region had rises in infections. The week-on-week percentage change figure rises were: by 8% in Knowsley; and by 5% in Liverpool.

In Warrington, there was a rise in infections. In West Lancashire and Cheshire West and Chester, there were falls.

Overall in England, infections rose in the week ending November 27. The nation had 247,101 coronavirus cases in England - that's 3,868 more cases than in the previous seven days.

Liverpool

Liverpool's positive tests came to 1,662 cases in the week ending November 27, which is 79 more cases than in the previous week.

This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure increased by 5%.

The latest infection rate was 332.1 cases per 100,000 people.

Halton

There were 488 positive tests over the last week, which is 80 fewer cases than in the previous week.

This means the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 14% in the week ending November 27.

The latest infection rate is 376.1 cases per 100,000 people.

Knowsley

There was a total of 607 cases in the week ending November 27, which is 47 more cases than in the previous week.

The latest infection rate is 398.2 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure increased by 8%.

Wirral

There were 1,225 positive tests in the week ending November 27, which is 50 fewer cases than in the previous week.

Wirral's week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 4%. The latest infection rate was 377.7 cases per 100,000 people.

Sefton

There was a total of 1,055 cases in the week ending November 27, which is 67 fewer cases than in the previous week.

The latest infection rate is 382.4 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases decreased by 6% week on week.

Liverpool City Region

There were 5,753 positive tests over in the week ending November 27, which is 169 fewer cases than in the previous week.

This means the week-on-week percentage change decreased by 3%. The latest infection rate is 337.87 cases per 100,000 people.

West Lancs

West Lancashire recorded 406 coronavirus cases in the week ending November 27, which is 26 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.

This meant there was a week-on-week percentage figure decreased by 6%. The infection rate was 354.60 per 100,000 people.

Warrington

There were 935 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending November 27, which is 107 more cases than the previous week.

The week-on-week percentage figure increased by 13%. There was an infection rate of 446.52 per 100,000 people.

Cheshire West and Chester

There were 1,734 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending November 27, which is 54 fewer more cases than the previous week.

The latest infection rate is 504.33 cases per 100,000 people, and there was a week-on-week percentage decrease of 3% in cases.

England

In the week ending November 27, England recorded 247,101 coronavirus cases, which is 3,868 more cases than in the previous seven days.

There was a week-on-week percentage increase of 2% in cases nationally, and there was an infection rate of 436.96 per 100,000 people.
