Pubs will close again in Aberdeen tonight following a fresh outbreak of coronavirus in the city.
All indoor and outdoor hospitality venues in Aberdeen will shut at 5pm this evening after 54 new coronavirus cases were linked to 20 pubs and restaurants in the area.
It comes amid fears that Preston could also enter a fresh lockdown following a jump in cases there.
The new rules would mean the city would be following in the footsteps of East Lancashire, Greater Manchester and parts of West Yorkshire.
It comes as the global death toll has now passed 700,000 - meaning the bug is killing one person every 15 seconds.
Meanwhile, the coronavirus death toll rose to 46,364, bringing the total number of cases to 307,184.
