Coronavirus UK LIVE: New Covid-19 inhaler could fight virus and retail shops to return from June as deaths hit 36,914

SCIENTIST in Britain have developed a new Covid-19 inhaler, which could help boost coronavirus patients' immune system to fight the virus when early symptoms appear.

Researchers from the University of Southampton have sent 120 inhalers out to Covid-19 patients for a home trial beginning today.

The news comes after Boris Johnson announced the UK will reopen thousands of high street shops, department stores and shopping centres on June 15.

Outdoor markets and car showrooms can reopen as soon as they are able to meet the coronavirus secure guidelines from June 1.

He made the announcement after it was confirmed the UK death toll rose to 36,914 with 121 more deaths.
