Coronavirus Scotland LIVE: Biggest Covid spike yet with 558 new patients – with over half in Glasgow

SCOTLAND was hit with a record-high spike of coronavirus cases with 558 confirmed overnight - the second time in days.

The national clinical director revealed current restrictions would class university learners living in halls as separate households.
