BELGIUM is the latest country to be bumped from the safe travel list after a recent spike in cases - with UK holidaymakers now facing two weeks' isolation upon their return.

It is joined by Andorra and the Bahamas who also drop off the "green light" nations list after a jump in coronavirus outbreaks.

Meanwhile, coronavirus cases have seen the biggest rise for 41 days, jumping by 950.

The high number of new infections puts the total number of positive Covid-19 cases to 308,134.

And today, officials in the UK said another 49 people have died - taking the death toll to 46,413.
