Coronation Street’s real life couple Sally Carmen and Joe Duttine hold hands as they leave a pub in Manchester

CORONATION Street's real life couple Sally Carmen and Joe Duttine looked loved-up as ever as they held hands leaving a pub in Manchester yesterday afternoon.

The actors - who play Abi Franklin and Tim Metcalfe in the ITV soap - enjoyed some drinks at the Dockyard Pub on Mediacity in Salford Quays.

The soap stars looked in high spirits as they left the popular drinking spot hand in hand, donning some very stylish outfits.

Sally, 39, opted for some khaki high waisted trousers, a blue linen shirt and denim jacket for their fun evening out on the town.

She completed her look with a yellow cross body bag, some oversized sunglasses and a pair of all white Birkenstocks.

Not only did the pair's loved-up body language match, but their outfits did too.

Joe, 50, rocked a plain white t-shirt and teamed it up with some blue denim shorts.

He accessorised his look with a khaki coloured Carhartt cap, matching oversized jacket and high top Converses.

And it's no wonder that the pair looked happy in each others company as just five months ago the couple announced that they were engaged.

Back in March the actors took to Instagram to reveal the happy news with a picture of Sally's beautiful ring and two glasses of celebratory champagne.

The actress, who has also had roles in various TV programmes including Shameless, Doctors and Holby City, posted a snap with the caption: "So this happened... 💛#yes"

Joe's on-screen wife, actress Sally Dyvenor commented: "Oh wow that’s fantastic news. Congratulations you beautiful couple 👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾"

Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria Connor in the soap, said: "Ahhh amazing Sal! So happy for you both! Congrats you two! 😍👏🏼🙏😘 Xxx"

Beth Tinker actress, Lisa George, commented: "Absolutely over the moon for you both!!!! I’m sooo happy!!! Biggest congratulations 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕"

Since the pair were first pictured together holding hands together in 2018, the lovebirds relationship has gone from strength to strength.

The Sun confirmed that they hit it off while filming for the show and had been enjoying a string of secret dates together.

They had told colleagues about their budding romance and were snapped holding hands at the soap's summer party in the city’s Victoria Warehouse.

A telly source explained: “Both Joe and Sally had been single for a while and just met at the right time in their lives.

“Sally thinks Joe is a funny and caring guy and he’s really fallen for her, too. They’ve now told their castmates and everyone thinks it’s a match made in heaven.”

Earlier this year the couple decided to mark another mile stone in their relationship and moved in together.

Sally posted a picture of them together in their kitchen, writing: "We’re in 💛 #homesweethome #thelightisntwonkyhonest."

The actress wore a thick white dressing gown and hugged Joe, who kept it casual in a white T-shirt and trousers.

Their new kitchen features a farmhouse sink, a large wooden island in the middle and a professional-sized hob.

A bottle of red wine was also open on the kitchen counter, alongside an all-important coffee machine.

Meanwhile in the soap, things are going just as well for Joe's character Tim, who is happily married to Sally Webster (Sally Dynevor).

And things don't seem to be too bad for Abi's love life either - as she just moved in Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) - Sally's ex husband.
