A new bar has opened in Liverpool city centre - and it's perfect for enjoying a drink outside, no matter the weather.

The Entry Bar has opened its doors on Seel Street, taking inspiration from cities such as Bruges, Amsterdam and Paris where outdoor seating is the norm, and not just for summer.

The new bar is located next to Epic Apart Hotel and is filled with colourful items and furniture, including a mural from local artist John Culshaw.

On the menu are a range of bottled beers, Estrella on draught, a selection of wines and a wide range of premium spirits, as well as an extensive cocktail menu.

Steven Mealor, of The Entry Bar, said: “We opened after the original easing of the lockdown. As an outdoor space it’s given us the chance to find our feet with restricted numbers leading into what we expect to be a very busy summer.”

He added: “The reaction has been amazing and really positive.

“People have really taken to the design and use of the venue we had planned.

“Yes it’s an outdoor bar but it has a warmth and comfort to it that allows us to be open every day regardless of the weather, with undercover gazebo and heaters for every table.”

The Entry Bar has a number of safety measures in place for staff and visitors, including hand sanitising stations, table service, NHS Test and Trace and is asking customers to wear face coverings when moving around the space.

The bar does not offer a booking system and instead is open for walk-ins only.
