Essex-based dealer Ernest Doe is to run its annual machinery show online this year, rather than inviting punters to visit its Utling headquarters.
However, it still intends to offers customers keen deals on old stock and has roped in Cheffins to run a timed machinery auction of ex-demo and hire machines, as well as some brand-new models. Cheeringly, there’s no buyer’s premium to be paid on sale items, so the hammer price will be final.

The 61st edition of the show, which is one of the biggest dealer events in Europe, is the first to be held virtually and will include videos and walk-arounds of the machines available before the auction.
For interested buyers, a new website launches on 25 January and remains live until 12 February.
