Cleaning fans share epic December challenge but people reckon day 17 would take them all MONTH

MERRY CLEAN-MAS

NO ONE wants to spend Christmas Day cleaning, but keeping on top of laundry, dishes, and other household chores can feel never-ending.

One cleaning fan has shared a challenge for December, breaking up tasks like cleaning the oven across the 24 days of advent - hopefully meaning that the house is sparkling come Christmas.

Posting in Facebook group Organise My UK Home, Veronica shared the long list of tasks, including things like "Clean out your purse, handbag or backpack", and "Wash inside windows with glass cleaner".

Captioning the picture she wrote, "Does anyone want to do this Christmas cleaning challenge with me?

"I'm getting started today and am really going to try to stick to it."

Lots of fellow cleaning enthusiasts commented to say what a great idea it was and that they'd be joining her on the challenge.

One said, "YES YES YES!!!! I need this"

A second commented, "Literally my Friday evening every week!"

"I love this because it’s so realistic. Dust off house plants. I’m the kind of girl that needs to do this", another added.

Others weren't totally convinced, asking if they could "book holiday" on the day with the task of cleaning the oven, while another said cleaning their desk would take them all month.

Another joked that they'd prefer to skip to the final day, where the task is simply to "dust off a wine glass and have a drink".

Veronica shared a video on her YouTube channel where she talks about starting the December cleaning challenge.

In other festive news, we shared how some festive fans were putting up their Christmas decorations MONTHS in advance - but how early is too early?

Elsewhere, one carer who used to have just £5 a week to spend on food shared her top money saving tips.

Plus some Christmas trees have been mocked on social media with one saying the decorations gave them 'a panic attack' - but what do you think?
