The trips include a ‘Christmas Carols on the Union of South Africa Steam Train’ tour on the East Lancashire Railway and the new ‘Thursford Christmas Spectacular’ break.

There's also a second date for the 'Christmas Carols on the 92 Squadron’ break, which includes a trip on a steam train complete with festive carols, a brass band, mulled wine and a visit from Father Christmas.

The breaks can be booked here:

The 'Christmas Carols on the Union of South Africa Steam Train' takes place on 9 December from various UK pick up points and includes a festive steam train journey with mulled wine, mince pies, a brass band, carol singers and a visit and gift from Father Christmas.

It costs from £139 for two days including the steam train trip, return coach travel, an overnight stay with breakfast and a trip to Manchester's Christmas Markets and the Bury Market.

Those who book the new Thursford Christmas Spectacular break can choose from a two, four or five day break, with dates in November and December from pick up points in the North West, North East, Yorkshire and the Midlands.

It includes evening tickets to a live festive music event with a cast of over 120 professional singers, dancers and musicians, performing a mix of traditional carols and Xmas chart-toppers, as well as return coach travel, a three night stay at a B&B and a trip to Norwich.

Matthew Herbert, sales and yield director at The JG Travel Group, who own Just Go! Holidays and National Holidays said: "Having missed out on festive celebrations last year, it is clear that many customers are keen to book experiences for this Christmas to enjoy with their loved ones."

National Holidays has also seen its Polar Express breaks for this Christmas book up quickly - there are a few spots left but those looking to book should look to secure a place soon.
