CHRIS Hughes threw his support behind ex girlfriend Jesy Nelson's new Little Mix show The Search, proving there's no bad blood between them.

The 27-year-old star heaped praise on the BBC programme, which launched yesterday evening and was followed by a second episode tonight.

The show follows Jesy and her bandmates as they look for Britain's next big music group after they shot to fame on The X Factor nine years ago.

Chris, who split from Jesy in April after a 16-month romance, revealed that he'd tuned into the show earlier this evening.

Taking to his Instagram Story, the Love Island hunk briefly filmed a snippet of the episode from the comfort of his living room.

Although it is Jesy's show, she did not feature in the video, with Chris instead filming her pals Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall, as well as one of the hopefuls.

Still, expressing his support Chris simply captioned the post: "Sick show this", adding the official hashtag.

Chris spoke out about his and Jesy's break up in July, admitting that it was the first time he'd ever felt properly heartbroken.

Speaking on Vicky Pattison's podcast, he explained: "People can see it in your face.

Love Island’s Chris Hughes says it took ‘a couple of weeks’ to get over ex Jesy Nelson

"You can look sad in your face, without actually pulling a sad face, which I discovered… but everyone says: 'You’re back to yourself, now', it’s good."

Both stars have now moved on, with The Sun exclusively revealing in August that Chris is dating stunning model Mary Bedford.

Meanwhile, Jesy is loved-up with Our Girl hunk Sean Sagar.
