Captain America star Chris Evans, 39, has proved that he likes to poke fun at himself after he received a DM from hitmaker Lizzo.

Good as Hell singer Lizzo, 32, gave fans a glimpse of the reply she received from the Knives Out actor after she reached out to him online after a boozy night out.

Taking to Tik Tok, Lizzo uploaded a video in which she shared a screenshot of Chris' response after she sent the handsome hunk a string of emojis including a gust of wind, a woman dribbling a basketball and a basketball.

The trio of images was Lizzo's way of hinting to Chris that she was shooting her shot at striking up a cheeky chat with him.

And as he acknowledged the playful message, Chris appeared to reference his 2020 online mishap that led to him accidentally sharing a picture of a penis with his 6.1 million Instagram followers.

He penned back: "No shame in a drunk DM [face-throwing-a-kiss emoji] god knows I've done worse on this app lol [facepalm emoji]."

Last year, Chris was left red-faced after he accidentally posted a screenshot of his camera roll on Instagram, with one of the images on the screen being of a penis.

He then quickly deleted the screen recording just moments after posting it, but it was enough time for eagle-eyed fans to notice the explicit image.

He initially posted the video on Instagram to show fans a sweet clip of his family playing the game Heads Up, but accidentally suffered a blunder.

The "d**k pic" snap was not the only one fans spied on his camera roll, as another snap that showed Chris' face alongside a text that read "guard that p**sy" was spotted too.

Following the gaffe, Chris seemed to make light of the accident during an appearance on The Tamron Hall Show.

"It was an interesting weekend full of lessons learned, a lot of teachable moments," he said.

"It's embarrassing, but you gotta roll with the punches."
