Chelsea vs Leeds confirmed line-ups ahead of Premier League fixture tonight

Chelsea host Leeds United with the two sides resuming a storied rivalry, including the famous 1970 FA Cup final triumph for the Blues over two unforgettable games.

Frank Lampard locks horns with Marcelo Bielsa once more, with the two falling out during the Chelsea manager’s time with Derby County and the infamous ‘spygate’ episode, though there is great respect between the two tacticians, who both believe in playing attractive football.

Reaction from Man Utd

Marcus Rashford spoke to Sky Sports after the game and said:

We need to stop doing that (letting teams score first). If we keep more clean sheets we will definitely win more games. It is good that we showed spirit, but ideally we don't want to be conceding.

"We defended quite well. They have dangerous players on the counter-attacks. We managed to get through it. Once you get to half-time it is a chance to regroup and we came out refocused.

"Sometimes it is not about what the manager says but what we can see on the pitch. We didn't get around them enough. Nothing threatening to the backline. The team knew what we had to do.

"It is a big game (in the Champions League next week). After you lose like we did in the Champions League (to PSG) it is important to win the next game.

"It is something the game has missed (fans being back in stadiums). It is what makes it special. It is a great feeling to have fans back."

Reaction from that remarkable game to come but now focus goes to Stamford Bridge where Chelsea are preparing to take on Leeds. Here are the teams:

Chelsea XI: Mendy; Chilwell, Silva, Zouma, James; Mount, Kanté, Havertz; Werner, Giroud, Ziyech

Leeds XI: Meslier, Ayling, Koch, Cooper, Dallas, Phillips, Klich, Alioski, Raphinha, Harrison, Bamford

With that win Manchester United leapfrog West Ham and Man City to take fourth spot and move within two points of Liverpool and Tottenham.

In the final match of the day Chelsea host Leeds at Stamford Bridge and a victory will see them move to the top of the Premier League table.

It’s five away wins out of five for Manchester United now as well.
