Charles Leclerc refused to tell his mother to 'take care' while racing inFormula 1. "Because it's not true."
Leclerc has been racing in Formula 1 for several years and spends much more time in his series of karts and feeders than that. But that doesn't make him less susceptible to the dangers that every racer accepts before putting on his helmet.

No F1 driver has died in a crash since Bianchi, but F2 racers Antoine Hubert's death at Spa in 2019 and Romain Grosjean's miraculous escape in Bahrain is a reminder of the dangers lurking in the year ahead.
