S4C will show a selection of live European rugby matches from the Heineken Champions Cup and Challenge Cup this season.
The move will see six matches involving Welsh sides broadcast on free-to-air TV, with the Welsh broadcaster showing two matches from the Champions Cup group stages, in addition to all four of the Dragons’ matches from the Challenge Cup.
They will broadcast the Dragons’ opening match away to Perpignan on Saturday, December 11, before showing the Rodney Parade outfit's second fixture against Lyon a week later on Friday, December 17.
The third weekend will see Cardiff's Champions Cup clash against English champions Harlequins and the Dragons' match away to Benetton both broadcast, while the fourth weekend of fixtures sees S4C show Scarlets hosting Bristol.
The Dragons’ final group match, at home against Gloucester on the weekend of April 8/9/10, will also be shown by the channel.
Lauren Jenkins will present the coverage, with Gareth Charles and Gwyn Jones in the commentary box. Sioned Harries, Shane Williams and Mike Phillips are among the names who will provide match analysis.
