Catherine Tyldesley reveals huge weight loss as skirt hangs off her after Strictly tour

CATHERINE Tyldesley revealed her huge weight loss as her skirt hung off her after taking part in the Strictly tour.

The 36-year-old actress was forced to step down after suffering an injury, but has already lost a significant amount of weight.

The star, who shed six stone a decade ago, pulled her skirt to reveal inches of space where her waist used to be.

She tagged Strictly in the photo on Instagram, and said: "It's official, I need a pie. Lost my junk."

Later, Catherine told fans she was heading to the gym for "rehabilitation" after her Strictly injury and that she had been gutted to quit the tour.

She said: "So I'm at the gym I'm a bit nervous there is not much I can do with my injury so I'll bve doing lots of upper body and core work, some rehabilitation exercises.

"Barrel of laughs, I mean we are week one, and I'm already ready to ram my head into a brick wall with frustration.

"But everything for a reason, it's a healing process, I'll let you know how I get on."

The Sun Online told how the Strictly tour had been thrown into chaos last month after dancers had fallen sick.

Catherine later said she was "absolutely heartbroken" to pull out.

Catherine is married to personal trainer Tom Pitfield, 32, and said she dropped from a size 22 to 10 by ditching Coronation Street’s pies and bacon butties.

Speaking about her time on Corrie, she said: “It’s just fitting it around your schedule. If I was working I’d go on walks.

“On night shoots there are a lot of pies and bacon sandwiches floating about but I took stuff with me.”

Catherine also revealed her body insecurities after giving birth to her son Alfie.

She added: “After having Alfie I thought my stomach was never going back to where it was and it was weight training that got it back to what it was.”
