Bruno Fernandes confirmed on Instagram he was due to return to Manchester United training on Tuesday.
Having been unable to light up Euro 2020 like many observers had predicted, the Manchester United playmaker is re-energised and preparing for business on the domestic front once again.
The 26-year-old has been nothing short of sensational since moving to Old Trafford in January 2020, providing 40 goals and 25 assists in just 80 games across all competitions since his switch from Sporting Lisbon.
Fernandes has also won the Premier League player of the month award four times.
As attentions turn to the upcoming campaign, which kicks off against Leeds United on 14 August, the attacking midfielder confirmed his imminent return to training.
Sharing footage of himself on holiday with his young family, the caption read: "Fully charged batteries. Tomorrow [Tuesday] back to training."
Alongside other United players who took part in international competition this summer - including England quartet Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford - the Portuguese was granted additional rest-time.
Those players who have competed in Euro 2020, the Copa America or the Olympics have missed the opening two pre-season games against Derby County and QPR, although Fernandes has been keeping himself in tiptop condition at his former club Boavista.
As things stand, it's not clear when those players will be available for selection by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but Fernandes' return to training is sure to be a welcome boost to his squad.
When Fernandes does return, he will be greeted by at least two new faces in the form of reserve goalkeeper Tom Heaton and Jadon Sancho, who finally moved to Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund for £72.9million in the past week.
They are set to be joined in the coming days by World Cup-winning French defender Raphael Varane, as United close in on his transfer from Real Madrid.
