Bridgerton star Rege-Jean Page has been cast in big-budget Netflix film The Gray Man.
The British-Zimbabwean actor, 31, has found worldwide stardom for his turn as Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings in period drama Bridgerton.
Now Deadline has revealed that Rege-Jean has joined in the upcoming thriller, joining the likes of La La Land star Ryan Gosling, Captain America star Chris Evans and Knives Out actress Ana de Armas in the film.
The publication also adds that Golden Globe veteran actress Alfre Woodard, 68, and award-winning screenwriter-actor Billy Bob Thornton, 65, will also be joining the film.
The upcoming thriller will be directed by Avengers: Endgame director siblings Anthony and Joe Russo and is based on the Mark Greaney novel of the same name.
The Gray Man follows an assassin and former CIA operative named Court Gentry (Gosling) as he becomes locked in an international game of cat-and-mouse with Lloyd Hansen (Evans), a former colleague who is now in pursuit of him.
It had previously been reported by Deadline that The Gray Man will be the biggest budget committed to an original film by Netflix yet, exceeding an expected $200million and with the intention to create a franchise on a scale with the James Bond films.
The decision to pursue the film with the Russo brothers comes after the pair directed the highest-grossing film of all-time with Marvel Studios film Avengers: Endgame.
They had previously directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, and Avengers: Infinity War for the franchise.
Since their blockbuster successes they directed the popular thriller Extraction for Netflix, which starred Marvel's Thor actor Chris Hemsworth, and the Apple drama film Cherry, which starred Marvel Studios' Spider-Man star Tom Holland.
Meanwhile, in addition to his continuing role as the Duke of Hastings in raunchy drama Bridgerton, Rege-Jean has reportedly also been cast in the upcoming Dungeons and Dragons film alongside the likes of Chris Pine, Hugh Grant, and Sophia Lillis.
The Mirror has reached out to Netflix for comment on this story, while Rege-Jean Page's representatives confirmed his castng.
