Now some good weather finally seems to be happening in parts of the UK, what better reason to celebrate than outside with friends and family? Ready for your next picnic, the creators of BrewDog bring you LoneWolf Gin and Regal Rogue vermouth cocktails, in four ready-to-drink pouches.
Available in perfect single serves of Bold Negroni, Lively White Martini, Paw Star Martini and Wild Wolf Sour. LoneWolf & Regal Rogue Cocktail Pouches are exclusively available from BrewDog.com for £24.95 for four cocktails.
Born from a shared passion of delicious, quality cocktails, this collaboration brings together two powerhouses of craft gin and renegade vermouth.
Created using LoneWolf gin’s core range: London Dry, Cloudy Lemon and Cactus & Lime, skilfully paired with Regal Rogue’s vermouth: Lively White, Daring Dry, Bold Red and Wild Rosé. The result is a series of tasty, bar-grade, single serve cocktails.
Regal Rogue uses 100% organic Australian wine and aboriginal botanicals to create their vermouth whilst LoneWolf gin is made from grain to glass, at their distillery in Ellon, Aberdeen.
After three months in the making, these cocktails showcase the best of each brand, how quality gin and vermouth can be blended to create a diverse and delicious series of classic-style cocktails.
In response to the launch, head of BrewDog distilling Steven Kersley says “We first worked on a BrewDog Distilling Co. cocktail serve with Regal Rogue last Christmas, the Rogue Wave Negroni. It worked really well and spurred us onto launch a full range of collaborative pouch cocktails. We share a joint-love of quality cocktails and spent 3 months developing these ultimate takes on our favourite classic drinks. Launching just in time for lockdown restrictions easing and people being able to meet up for a good drink, finally!”
Mark Ward, founder of Regal Rogue, adds “Meeting Steven over a Zoom call last winter, we came up with the idea of playing around with the LoneWolf gin range with Regal Rogue vermouth, to marry the wide range of flavour profiles both brands had and create some unique cocktails just in time for summer. It’s a hugely exciting collaboration to showcase each brand to our respective fans and honours where we stand with our nod to sustainability and partnering with BrewDog Distilling Co’s carbon negative status ensuring the pouches used 100% sustainable packaging.”
Below, we’ve listed more information on each of the cocktail pouches to get your tastebuds tingling.
Bold Wolf Negroni
24% ABV Bold by name and nature, this nudge on a classic Negroni is everything the drink should be.
Made using equal measures of LoneWolf London Dry gin, Regal Rogue’s Bold Red Vermouth and Campari, it’s packed with a satisfying punch of bittersweet.
LoneWolf’s London Dry gin provides a juniper, pine and citrus bite combined with the aromatic spices and richness of the vermouth. These iconic flavours will take you to Italy, with a cheeky stop-over via Scotland and Australia.
Lively Wolf Martini
25% ABV Clean cut and flavoursome, this amped up spin on a classic Martini is simple, straight up and delivers.
Created using LoneWolf London Dry and Regal Rogue’s Lively White vermouth, the serve gives off a citrus and pine aroma with notes of grapefruit, rosemary and elderflower.
Deliciously balanced with a medium to dry finish, the Lively Wolf Martini is perfect for a stylish start to a barmy summer night.
Paw Star Martini
12% ABV A salute to one of the most popular cocktails of the 2000’s, this tropical, passionfruit flavour-bomb is irresistible and the ultimate disco drink.
Made using a reverse ratio of LoneWolf’s Cactus & Lime gin and Regal Rogue’s Daring Dry vermouth, for a lower ABV cocktail.
It’s packed with passionfruit, vanilla mango and pineapple, with an optional side chaser of sparkling wine for added fun-time fizz.
Wild Wolf Sour
12% ABV Sour cocktails are as classic as you can get, the Wild Wolf Sour steps up in fresh, 2021 style.
Perfectly balancing sweetness and tartness, it’s made using the reverse ratio of zesty LoneWolf Cloudy Lemon gin and Regal Rogue Wild Rosé vermouth resulting in a lower ABV cocktail.
Whilst the gin dials up the citrus, the vermouth brings some slinky spice.
Topped with a rhubarb liqueur adding savoury sweetness to create an instant park-side pleaser.
