Cardiff City bid to get back to winning ways this evening as they take on Thomas Frank's Brentford in west London.

The Bluebirds' momentum has ground to a halt since the international break, with lingering hopes of a late surge to the play-offs having been quashed by four frustrating results.

But Mick McCarthy will be desperate for a pick-up in form in the last four games and will no doubt want to end the season on a high.

It will be no easy task, though, with Brentford still in the hunt for those automatic promotion spots. However, the Bees have won only one of their last six matches themselves.

We will have all the build-up, team news and live match action from the Brentford Community Stadium.

Kick-off is at 6pm.

Good afternoon and welcome to today's coverage of Brentford v Cardiff City.

The Bluebirds would have so wanted this game to mean something, having made a late bid to break into the play-off battle under Mick McCarthy.

But in recent weeks they have come up short and are now out of promotion contention. That can't be said of tonight's hosts, though, who are still firmly in the reckoning.

It's a big ask for McCarthy's men tonight and we'll have it covered from start to finish.

Stay tuned for the latest from west London.
