Police have tracked down missing Cambuslang teenager Kai Rae in London.
Kai was reported missing from Cambuslang on Monday, November 23 but was found safe and well this morning.
Inspector Stephen McManus said: "I am pleased to confirm that Kai Rae who was reported missing from Cambuslang has been traced safe and well.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the public and the media for sharing our earlier appeals. Your support was much appreciated"
Following extensive CCTV enquiries, officers revealed yesterday (Wednesday) that Kai travelled to Edinburgh Waverley Station on Monday, November 23, where he then took a train to London.
A source who wished to remain anonymous told the Reformer : “Kai was spotted in John Lewis in Edinburgh on the Monday he was reported missing.
“He bought several items from the store, I think one was a new laptop.”
Kai was later spotted leaving King’s Cross Station around 10.10pm on November 23, and got into a taxi at one of the station’s taxi ranks.
CCTV images show him wearing a black hoodie with ‘GAP’ outlined in white letters on the front, dark blue jeans and dark trainers.
He was also wearing a black mask, a back pack and carrying a dark blue GAP paper bag.

The 16-year-old, who is a student at Anniesland College in Glasgow, was wearing a dark blue or black zipped hoodie and dark blue jogging bottoms when he disappeared.
He is believed to have packed extra clothing and cash before leaving his home.
In the ten days since Kai’s disappearance, over 6000 people have joined a Facebook group set up by members of the community to co-ordinate efforts to find him.
Extensive searches were carried out in the local area by kindhearted residents alongside his friends and family and celebrities including Rangers legend Paul Gascoigne and Scots singer Lewis Capaldi.
