Royal Mail workers voted overwhelmingly to strike in the second round of the terms of service, the Communications Union announced.
The CWU chief is believed to be planning to announce further strike dates over the terms of service in the coming days. A member, he was voted by 98.6% with a voter turnout of 72.2%.
These would add to his four cases of wage overruns already announced by unions last week.
Union sources said:
The union also asked his CEO of Royal Mail to "consider his position."
CWU General Secretary Dave Ward said: Although cornered, there is no doubt that they will fight decisively to systematically erode their rights in the workplace.”
