Boy, 3, dies after mom’s boyfriend stomped on toddler’s HEAD and claimed boy fell off scooter

A CALIFORNIA man confessed to police he stomped on the 3-year-old son of his girlfriend after he lost his temper.

Santos Rodriguez, 24, of Desert Hot Springs is accused of killing his girlfriend's 3-year-old son after admitting to detectives he repeatedly stomped the toddler's head onto the ground after getting hot-headed.

The tot was rushed to the hospital and treated for severe head trauma, but could not be saved.

Rodriguez first told medical workers and investigators when they arrived Saturday that the toddler had fallen off a Razor scooter and hit his head on the pavement.

However, when police began an "extensive investigation" into the child's fatal injuries, Rodriguez confessed he killed the boy at home.

Investigators have not released any other details regarding Saturday's killing of the 3-year-old boy.

"The motive for this incident is under continuous investigation," read a press release from the San Bernadino Police Department.

Rodriguez is being held without bail at San Bernardino County West Valley Detention Center.

He is "booked for murder," read the press release.
