BORIS Johnson has today urged Brits to take a staycation in the UK this summer rather than go abroad for a holiday.
The PM, Rishi Sunak and Matt Hancock are all set to stay in the country to help boost local tourism.

The PM will lead a push for Brits to stay in the country over the next few months, to help hotels, hostels and restaurants boost their trade after the Covid crisis.
He said today: "This is a great great year for people to take a stay-cation... I'm certainly going to be doing that."
One ally said Boris hadn't had much time to think about a holiday yet, but it would "definitely" be in the UK this summer.
It's thought he will choose to getaway over the summer recess with fiance Carrie, their newborn son Wilfred, and dog Dilyn.
He could use his grace-and-favour homes Chequers or Chevening - and the PM owns his own farmhouse outside Thame, in Oxfordshire too.
Last winter Boris and Carrie jetted off to the private island of Mustique, where they enjoyed a break after the grueling election campaign.
The pair have also enjoyed trips to the Amalfi Coast in Italy.
Previous PMs including David Cameron have chosen to visit Cornwall, whereas Theresa May preferred getting away to Lake Garda, also in Italy.
A source close to the Chancellor added of Mr Sunak and his family: "They plan to holiday in U.K. but location not decided."
Mr Hancock said on Friday he will visit Cornwall this summer for a short break.
As of July 4 people in England can go away and stay overnight at hotels, bed and breakfasts or with family and friends.
The international travel advice for several dozen countries has now also been changed to allow people in England to go away without having to quarantine for 14 days.
Last week, it was announced that travel restrictions to 75 countries across Europe, Asia and the Caribbean would be lifted to allow holidays once again.
However, some countries may still ask travelers to take a test when they enter the country, or to quarantine for a specific amount of time.
