Will Boris Johnson be speaking today, April 12?
No, Prime Minister Boris Johnson will not be holding a press conference today.
The Government is currently respecting a period of mourning following the death of Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.
As was planned in Operation Forth Bridge, which outlined the details of what would happen in the hours, days and weeks following the death of Prince Philip, the UK has entered a national period of mourning.
This period will last until midnight on the day of the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral - April 17 - and is to be "observed by all".
All media activity has been suspended for the national mourning period meaning no Covid press conferences and no press releases other than essential health reasons.
Ministers will also cancel planned visits and interviews including daily interviews on breakfast TV shows and political shows.
When is the Prime Minister's next announcement?
It has not yet been announced when the Prime Minister will hold the next Coronavirus press briefing.
National mourning for the duke will end at 8am on Sunday morning [April 18], the day after his funeral.
It is most likely that an announcement will be made after that date.

What has Boris Johnson said on lockdown rules easing?
The PM urged Brits to continue to "behave responsibly" as pubs, hairdressers and restaurants reopen on April 12.
"I'm sure it will be a huge relief for those business owners who have been closed for so long, and for everyone else, it's a chance to get back to doing some of the things we love and have missed," Johnson said.
"I urge everyone to continue to behave responsibly and remember 'hands, face, space and fresh air' to suppress COVID as we push on with our vaccination programme," he said.
