Boots is a go-to for many shoppers whether you're after new make-up, health products or even baby clothes but even the most avid customer may not realise how easily it is to cut the cost of their shops.

Thankfully, the folks over at has rounded-up their top tips to help you save money on plenty of items and get up to 70% off.

Boots is currently running a sale with deals on everything from No7 and Champneys to Yankee Candle, though stock is limited. If shoppers are looking for something in particular, visiting larger Boots stores is recommended.

For those who want to make sure they're getting the best value for money during their next visit to Boots, we've rounded-up the top ten tips below.

The 70% off aisle

Boots regularly puts its biggest discounts down the one aisle which is where you should head next time you're in store.

In the past bargains such as a No7 Glow beauty set for £6 instead of £20 and large Yankee Candle for £7.20 instead of £23.99 have been spotted.

Friday deals

Boots is famously tight-lipped about what deals it will drop but it is known to regularly offer 3 for 2 on its No7 products.

The retailer currently offers different deals on Fridays, where shoppers will be able to find items that usually cost up to £15 for around £5.

Tuesday deals

As with Fridays, Tuesdays are a big deal for Boots shoppers too thanks to an array of discounts.

Customers can often bag big discounts on popular beauty products online or in-store on Tuesdays, with deals on No7 makeup and skincare spotted in the past.

Free points

If you haven' t got a Boots Advantage Card yet, now is the time.

To claim the points you need to download the Boots Advantage card app for the first time and you'll get 200 points (which equals £2).

You can collect an extra 100 points when you provide your email address too, which is an extra £1.

It's important to note, in order to get the points added to your account you will need to make a purchase online or in store but this be a 40p bag of crisp as there is no minimum spend.

Extra points and discounts for students, over 60s and parents

Offers are available to those with Advantage Cards. If you're a student and have a card you can get a 10% discount across all items including those in the clearance sale. You can also save 10% on your first pair of glasses, prescription sunglasses and contact lenses

Those signed up to the parenting club and collect eight points per £1 on baby products and receive 'free' gifts at key stages of your baby's development. The Boots app offers personalised special offers and free access to expert parenting advice.

Shoppers over 60 will get eight points per £1 spent across all items and also 200 free points when taking a free Boots hearing health check.

Keep an eye out for designer-replicas

Boots has released a new skincare range called Glow, where every item costs just £4 or £5.

Many items look almost identical to items from the Glossier range but for much less.

When to expect the big popular No7 beauty sets

No7 is Boots' brand so you'll often find great offers on its make-up and skincare range. Before you decide to buy any products, always check to see if you can hack and stack the following:

Boots ' No7 Beauty Vault, which gives shoppes £130 worth of products for £32, usually arrives in July.

Its advent calendar which gives customers usually around £170 of products for £42 usually drops around mid-end of October.

December typically sees the arrival of 'Big Deal' Christmas promotions that often see shoppers scoop up £150 worth of products in a beauty set that costs £39.
