The body of a woman has been found in the River Findhorn in Moray in the search for missing woman Helen Campbell, 60.

Police confirmed the discovery of the body after being recovered around 11.30am this morning, July 31.

The family of missing Helen Campbell, who had been reported missing from Forres, have been informed.

Helen was last seen at the Greshop Filling Station, Forres, around 9.30pm on Thursday, July 29.

A search operation was launched and police said they were becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.

Officers say there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
