Bletchley medical centre attack: Five patients and staff were assaulted
Emergency services were called to the Parkside Medical Centre in Bletchley in Buckinghamshire just before 9am this morning.
Two people were taken to hospital with minor injuries, while three others were treated at the scene.
A man was arrested on suspicion of multiple assaults.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: "At around 9am this morning a number of people were assaulted at the Parkside Medical Practice.
"Officers attended the scene and a man has been arrested on suspicion of multiple assaults, he remains in custody at this time.
"A number of people have been taken to hospital but none of their injuries appear to be life-threatening."
Parkside Medical Centre wrote on its website: "We have had a major incident this morning and the practice will therefore be closed until further notice.
"Please be patient, we will contact you as soon as we can to re-schedule your appointment."
The medical centre also wrote on its Facebook page: "Due to a major incident at Parkside Medical Centre we are closed until further notice."
The surgery is also likely to be closed on Tuesday, with patients told their appointments scheduled for tomorrow have been cancelled.
